My opinions is that they do the fact that u just try to get them andbu pay less attention to the fun of the game.do get me wrong I do it as well.

yeahhh ive saw alot of people playing in locked servers just trying to get the trophies... thats just stupid as its no fun whatsoever.. but also for most games it makes people get more playtime out of the game to achieve the harder trophies..(not talking about ut3) so yeah im not really sure

trophies are a fun idea but like matt said when u lock urself in a server to earn them its just not right.... cool to have but i like to randomly earn them... all of a sudden u get a new trophy and its a fun fact... but when u play to earn them then its just a job

It doesn't (to me anyway). If a game is good enough on its own merit, trophies are not needed. UT3, BC2, and Street Fighter 4 I have dumped countless hours into without care of trophies. That doesn't mean I won't go outa my way to get them either!
Trophies to me is a fun little competitive game between friends, and to me, nothing more. Now those idiots that go out and rent Hanna Montana just for a platinum trophy have really lost sight of what gaming is. |

i go out my way to try push myself to be better & i dno why i do it its not healthy 4 me :L i spend stupid amounts of money on Headphones..... Keyboards & Mouses & even adapters just to play better......... Its mad! lol I recently went & bought myself Astro a40's Headphones with a Mixamp for £200 just so i could Sound Whore in MW2......... Crazy isn't it...  |

jajaja, if you wanna earn trhopfies, create a private host and play with noob boots. and win in all gametypes, or depends what the trophy is. hahaha so easy.
but ya, there is no fun if you don't play with real ppl.

i like the trophies they make me strive to be a better all around player on UT if their wouldnt of been trophies i never would of played warfare or VCTF so i see it a the game pushing me to become better and not just settle with bein good in on mode of a game plus its the fun of the challenge

i play 2 get away from it all the crap in my life.
i get platinum trophies only 2 see if i am good enough 2 get them  .and like most people here ,i regret adding people that cause nothing but drama (because they get off on it and don't have any friends in real life) and should of taken the advice of people here and on PSN not 2 be so nice 2 a$$holes and fakes because they take the LOVE out of gaming 4 me and everyone. |

Have never even looked at the trophies to know what they are. Same thing on the 360, don't look to see what the achievements are or what's needed to unlock them. I just play the games to have fun. Lunchy, you went out of your way to get platinum on BC2, running around with guns you hated just to get the trophy, you seemed to care about the trophy alot. I voted Naw because they don't ruin anything for me.

I love my trophies and worked hard for them. I don't have 100% in hardly any game but I have like 334 that I earned.

i have many trophies but recently my ps3 crashed (YLOD , wall) so now i'm wondering if it's safe to use the old harddrive (1st one) into the new one ?!

if you put in your old hard drive into your PS3 it will need to be formatted (Wiped) Each PS3 has some sort of Key code that stops you putting a other PS3 Hard drive into a other something to do with Piracy or something. You can still swap hard drives but it will be Wiped to make it work |
