but then i read an article on kotaku.com about how you now have to watch dashboard advertisements..
so they really expect people to pay for the online service, and have to watch ads? and the only way to not watch the ads is to not have the online service.
microsoft is ridiculous.. cable companies charge us but the advertisements we are forced to watch profit the networks, not the cable companies. microsoft wants to profit off of both..
soo i really wanted a 360 mainly because i like the controller ALOT better then the ps3 controller, and alot of my real life friends have 360.. but now im leaning back torwards another ps3..

ps3 all day homer! XBOX you limited with dvd! Much more reliable as well! Remeber the guy microsoft fired for releasing information about the og 360's ! He sais, and im paraphrasing here, 72% of 360's coming off the line had failure issues! i just couldnt support a company that blatantly does not care about its fanbase!

yea thats why im leaning torwards a ps3.. i guess i could handle the ads but it would be hard to support a company like microsoft.. the only reason they are doing so well is all the 12 yr olds that dont give a **** because their parents pay for everything and halo geeks |

Microsoft's antics are beyond insulting to the customers they have. I will never purchase an MS product if I don't have to. I had a 360. After 2 RROD, I realized that I spent a lot of money on something I can't even use half the time. Gave it to my little cousing. He's had another RROD on the system. It's not worth the ha**le and risk. Not to mention, you have to pay for Live if you want the complete "MS Experience".

The only thing I hate about MS is that they put patent on the custom music during playing.. Why the F do you want to ruin enjoyement for other gamers just because you don't buy the console they want you to. I hardly get pissed off at anything but this? C'mon now.. Well if you want a console that is worth the investment the PS3 is worth the money. Guerrila Games (Makers of KZ2) are already working on KZ3. And they have stated that the polygon count for model's will be 5x higher. KZ2 doesn't use all of the cell processor's, nor does it use them all effeciently. I think KZ2 only utilize's about 3 of the cell processor's. So if KZ2 looks that good, imagine how insane PS3 games will be like 2 years from now. |

What the? Why in the hell would you ruin your fanbase's already for Xbox Live experience with ads, which makes profit for you? Damn, I guess the Xbox Live isn't pulling in enough as is.. lol.. so you got toss in some forced ads to make even more. I guess that's why someone (who's also kind of a Microsoft hater..) once posted Microsoft as Micro$oft.

I like the 360 better then the ps3 cause its easier to use it. The Store is basically the home page and althought you have to pay for it its worth. More people play 360 the ps3 so its never boring.

I read an article the other day about how 360 might not have such a lead on PS3 as once imagined! Talked about a survey of people who didnt waste their time fixing their old 360 and just went and purchased a new one!

MS's numbers are scewed. They are shipped-through numbers as opposed to sold-through numbers. Sony releases sales information, MS usually releases shipped information. That is why sales numbers for MS are mere estimates rather than valid numbers. Also, MS has tried to hide the fact that the replacement 360s are being counted in the shipped through numbers inflating the actually number shipped out to the community. If what their former executive said is true, up to 50% of the number shipped accounts as the replacement 360s. That in fact, by numbers and estimates alone, would put Sony in front of the 360 in regards to sales. Shady? No. But definitely doesn't provide the clear picture. However, the attach rate (the amount of games perchased per consoled sold) is higher on 360 than on the PS3. A lot of that is also a big harder to figure out because the PS3 sells in countries that have horrible economies and people purchaed the PS3 to play a few games and haven't purchased much more. 360 doesn't sell well in those countries, but does well in the US and Europe were more people buy more games. Therefore, Sony may sell more consoles and and more games, but as long as it's not per console, those numbers get scewed.
Also please don't look at vgchartz numbers they make no sense. Even economists and finance experts have tried to make sense of those number to no avail. The NPD numbers are also scewed since some retailers that sell products don't actually report the numbers, or they report them at different time intervals. The best gauge is the games and the community.

any1 that ses the Xbox is **** is a retard. its better for games than ps3 thats a fact, it has way more AAA games than ps3, an amazing online service and 99% of there games all display in 1080p not 720p like most ps3 games
more exclusive titles, more people on xbox live, 1v100 which is a live game you play for real prizes inside xbox gives you all the latest info on everything goingon in the gaming world i love ps3 coz its bluray and its got a few good games thats it |

Colossus one thing you have got to remember is that Xbox came out first, which means its automatically going to have more exclusives, more players, but I'm pretty sure xbox is going to be blown out of the water this year with all the titles PS3 is releasing. The Playstation 3 has been playing catch up since day one, people are just starting to realize its true power, Xbox has clouded their minds.

OK I know i'm a greedy b4stard cos I've got a 360 and a PS3. TBH there isn't alot between them. The issues surrounding RROD are well publicised but isn't that a numbers game also cos the 360 was the 1st next gen console to be launched so more ppl bought it? I had it on my 1st (yes thats correct) 360 but I went out and traded it in for the Elite and so far after 1 year ive had no problems. Just read the posts on here to see how robust the PS3 really is and you get a more realistic picture.
People enjoy bashing MS because of their practices. Their marketing strategy has always been to ween the ma**es on their products and squeeze the money from their pockets so Xbox Marketplace, Vista, Office are always gonna be dollar-led. However they pay if the product has appeal. 360 games are just as fun to play a PS3 games.
I lean towards the PS3 as a console primarily because of BlueRay, wireless network connectivity and a cost free network. To say the 360 is a poor machine/vastly inferior is incorrect. If MS had got their house in order from the start PS3 would have struggled to make an impact. As it is PS3 are what's known as a loss leader. Its costing them more to sell consoles at the current price. So what happens in the near future with PSN and the funding of games to be developed for PS3 will be interesting. I hope it doesn't change. And I'll still play my 360 too cos quite a few people have both consoles now.  |

I had an xbox 360 long enough to beat gears of war.. then ps3 came out right after and I sold my xbox to get the PS3, seeing as ima girl and play games, the PS3 controllers were alot easier to use then xbox's big controllers.. Only thing is Im already on my 3rd PS3 since it came out, and I dont use my PS3 for anything but games, Ive watched one movie on it, I dont have no personal content on it accept pictures. If my PS3 breaks again Im def going to get the Xbox again.. ads or not
